-- arctic climates in flux: an evening of community-led Indigenous films was a fundraiser film screening for Isuma, an Inuit artists collective, film and video art platform, and Inuktitut-language community TV station, as part of the public programme of the exhibition glacier holobiont. encountering these films during research, both had a significant impact on the unfolding of the fictional Arctic science-workers of the glacier holobiont group.
co-presented by STAGE Gallery, the films screened were Qapirangajuq: Inuit Knowledge and Climate Change (2010) by Zacharias Kunuk (of Isuma) and Ian Mauro, and Attutauniujuk Nunami/Lament for
the Land (2014) by the communities of Nunatsiavut and Ashlee Cunsolo Willox. both can be watched online here and here respectively.
